    A Woman's Place

I loved this book. It was good clean reading and kept your attention all the time. The author is Lynn Austin. I defintely want to read her other books.
They watched their sons, their brothers, and their husbands enlist to fight a growing menace across the seas. And when their nation asked, they answered the call as well.

Doris Day-The Untold Story of the Girl Next Door

This was a good book telling all the hooplah an actress goes through. She made many movies and was rated the top actress for a long time. She was married 4 times, had one son, and loved dogs more than humans.

Bette Davis - a Personal Biography

I like to read about people like this with an open mind. Bette Davis was a very interesting actress and a very good one. I especially liked the part at the end when she looked back on her life and expressed herself on different issues.

    Another Country

This was an excellent book about elderly people. I wish every one of my children would read it. I 'm going to buy a copy of it, I enjoyed it so much. The author is Mary Pipher, Ph.D.
She talks about how relationships among us become more complex and difficult just when they need to be the closest and strongest. Many of us realize that we are also lacking a useful way to think about growing older ourselves. We need new ways of supporting one another--new ways of sharing our time and our energy and our love. Good Read!!

First day back to my part-time job.

Family NewsI got up super early to get ready for work. Kami and I worked together. We started at 6:30, and only worked 4 1/2 hours. We did alot too. We're fast workers. He he!!
It will be nice to have a little extra money. I want to try and save for Birthdays and Christmas, etc.
It is the celebrated Memorial Day today. It would be nice to be at Fairview to visit Mom and Dad's graves. I don't know how many years it's been since we've done that. Etta and Bob went up. Jody, Kevin, and Hans went up. They will be back today.
Dad is working on the Map thing you put the state quarters in. Etta and Bob want him to make them one. They are ALOT of work. He got wood the other day when I went to town with him.
I had the best Sunday yesterday. I love Sundays as I've said before. Two babies were blessed in our Sacrament Meeting, the Lefler's and the Gardner's. One boy and one girl.
Kami was telling me today that she only works 3.75 hours when she does school lunch. I thought she worked more hours than that.
Marilyn said that our Cousin, Smith's son, Butch, died of a stroke.
He was a little younger than Jay, Marilyn's son. He had a sister named, Vicki. It has been many many years since I've seen them. Smith's wife, Maridene is a sister to Larry Taylor. The boy Elaine, my sister, was with when she fell to her death in the mountains. That was a very sad, sad Day. I was only 14 years old. Elaine was 17.
We had a good lesson in RS yesterday on the Ministering of Angels.
Here is a picture Dad took of me yesterday. I think he thinks I take too many pictures. I probably do, but love pictures of anybody.

    Only ones home again!

Family NewsI've clicked into my blog SEVERAL times and was actually too lazy to write anything. Now that's pretty bad, right?
Everyone has left for the Memorial Day week-end. I swear we never go any where, except to Lehi once in awhile.
I am so dieing to see the grandkiddies. ALL of them.
I went to the Dr. for a physical today. I have been having problems with my legs going numb and Dr. Hubbard wants me to get a MRI. I totally don't think I can do it. I am so clostrophobic it isn't funny. Besides that, it will cost a fortune. But it would be nice to find how what's causing my bad back and legs to go numb.
I am going to start working part time at Tuachan again for Jody. Hope I can do it. I really won't mind working a few hours a week if I can do it with my back. I did before, and nothing's changed.
Grandma had the lump taken out of her breast. I guess they are going to test for cancer again, although they did once and it was benign. Dr. wanting more money?!!! I don't know.
Dad is finishing up the brick on Ron's house. It sure looks nice. He does great work. Scott helped a few days.
We need to plan a trip to Albuquerque, but I am getting so I don't like the long ride. Wish they would come up this summer, but it doesn't sound like they are going to.
I hope Stacey soon finds out what's up with her liver counts. I worry and worry about her.
Estelle is getting so big (at least it looks like it on her pictures). I wish I could hold her and rock her and kiss her.....
Etta and Bob are thinking about taking a trip to Florida. Wow, that would be a long trip. He told Larry he wants to go for about 2 1/2 months. He finally retired. It's about time, the poor guy. He's about 83. Time to retire for sure poor guy.
Larry's starting social security next month. I hope we can squeeze by with that and what little work he can get and with mine and me working part time. Man, did we ever do things wrong....
The neighbors are retiring now and they've got it made, good pensions, etc. Yes I'm jealous....
Larry got called to be the Cub Scout Master. I think he will be good. He needed a calling. We went and got him a uniform. He looks real good in it. The kids said he looks skinny.
I'm feeling rather bored right now. I need to start a project.....yah that's what's wrong I have no project going. Better get one!!
It's getting hot now. Not today, but has been up to 100 and above. Today it's only 74 or something. Feels good.

    Sunday, April general conference

Family NewsI love when it's General Conference. I love to be so spiritually
lifted from listening to our prophet and general authorities. This is certainly one of our greatest blessings in life.
